FMS Thanks its Staff and Clients for 35 years serving Independent Grocers

FMS is celebrating 35 years serving one industry, and one segment of that industry, the independent grocer. From the company’s founding by John Schock to today, FMS has remained committed to the Independent Grocer. Our 35th year has been quite an exciting year with the transition of the company to a 100 percent ESOP organization. Whenever people celebrate major milestones in life, it is important to look at why that milestone was achieved. For FMS, it is clear that the two things that have allowed FMS to grow are its people and its clients.

At FMS, we pride ourselves on the knowledgebase of our staff. Whether it is time working in the grocery industry prior to FMS or their tenure with FMS. Many of our associates bring with them experience in the grocery industry including positions such as Store Manager, Wal Mart Co Manager, Deli Manager, Assistant Store manager, Accounting Supervisor, Meat Cutter, Cashiers, Director of Pricing and Margins, Retail Accountants, Meat Wrapper, Front Office Manager, Buyer, Pricing and Scanning Coordinators, Store Auditor, Wholesaler Positions, Bagger and Controller just to name a few.

FMS employees have over 275 years working in the retail and wholesale grocery industry prior to FMS and over 325 years serving the independent grocer at FMS making for a combined total of more than 6 centuries or 600 years of experience in the grocery industry.

In addition to our great staff and the experience they bring to the table, our clients are who give FMS the opportunity to serve the Industry.
